Independence First
Our editorial decisions are made by the team, not by advertisers, affiliates, or partners. We don't let business relationships dictate what we publish or how we rate a tool.

Our Review Process

Sign Up & Setup
We sign up for the tool ourselves — no demo accounts, no sales walkthroughs. We set it up the way a real user would, including installing APIs or configuring workflows.
Real-World Testing
We actually use the tool. Write a blog post with it. Generate images. Build a small project. Record a video. Run it through its paces with tasks real users would do — not just the demo scenarios shown on the homepage.
Benchmark & Compare

We create our own accounts for every tool we review. No trial extended by the company, no curated demo environment. We go through the same signup flow you would.

Standardized Benchmarks
Within each category, we use the same prompts and tasks across all tools. A "5" in our writing category means the same thing whether we're reviewing Jasper or Copy.ai.
We Hit the Limits

How We Handle Errors
- Minor errors (typos, formatting, broken links): fixed immediately without a correction notice.
- Factual errors (wrong pricing, incorrect features, outdated information): corrected and noted at the top of the page with the date and nature of the correction.
- Significant errors (wrong conclusion, misleading information): corrected with a prominent notice, and the review may be re-evaluated from scratch.
- If a tool provider or reader reports an error, we investigate within 48 hours and respond with our findings.

Conflict of Interest Policy

- Team members may not review tools they have a financial interest in.
- If a team member previously worked at a company whose tool we're reviewing, that review is handled by another team member.

How often do you update reviews?
